PASCO - Walla Walla Valley Academy picked up a 60-52 road win over Tri-Cities Prep Thursday.

"We played one of our best games of the season," said WWVA assistant coach Paul Starkebaum. "We really needed a win and the guys did what needed to be done."

James Beck and Max Failing led the Knights with 12 points each. Beck had three of his four 3s in the first half.

"That really got our momentum going," Starkebaum said.

Failing also had a solid night defensively, Starkebaum said.

The Knights took a 26-17 lead into the half and never looked back.

Tri-Cities Prep tried to make a run in the third, but Brian Whitlake and Failing held Prep's lead scorer Jameson Pederson to just 12 points on the night.

Walla Walla Valley Academy improves to 3-8 in league and 6-9 overall. The Knights host DeSales on Tuesday.
