Mac-Hi girls lose to Baker Friday

BAKER CITY, Ore. - The Baker Bulldogs girls basketball team beat the Mac-Hi Pioneers 60-24 here Friday night in a Greater Oregon League match-up.

Baker held the advantage in 3-point shooting and free throws.

"We weren't getting any of the calls," Mac-Hi coach Casey Richards said, "and we were getting pretty roughed up."

Mac-Hi was whistled for 19 fouls, Baker 11.

MacKenzie Srack led the Bulldogs with 13 points and Jessie Stephens was right behind with 12.

For Mac-Hi, Jolene Brennan, Makia Carlson and Caitlin Vaughan accounted for five points each and Eloiza Meza added four points.

According to Richards, Mac-Hi had an off night shooting to go with the play of Baker.

"We were not getting any shots from the outside. They were hot from the outside. We ran plenty of good plays, we just had an off night shootingwise," she said.

Mac-Hi doesn't play again until Saturday at home against Ontario at 4 p.m.

The Pioneers record is now 0-15.
