Nixyaawii girls hand Helix Friday defeat

MISSION, Ore. - Nixyaawii picked up a Big Sky Conference girls basketball win against Helix here Friday night.

The Golden Eagles won, 51-25, led by Kaisha Perry's 16 points.

"Nixyaawii is one of the leading teams in the league," Helix coach Dean Fouquette said. "They came out and played pretty good basketball from the start through the end."

Chyanne Hack had 13 points for the Grizzlies.

"We played pretty good, too, but we couldn't make baskets," Fouqueette said. "If you're not putting it in the hole, you can't score points."

Helix (6-14 overall, 2-8 league) hosted Echo Saturday. Nixyaawii (9-2, 18-2) hosted Arlington.
