ELGIN - Weston-McEwen picked up a 63-40 win over Elgin in Blue Mountain boys basketball action Saturday.

Dallas Reich had a double-double for the TigerScots, scoring 13 points and grabbing 15 boards. Tyler Babb led the field with 20 points and Miles Thul had 14 points and seven assists.

"The biggest key was the experience level, especially on the defensive end of the floor," said W-M coach Brian Pickard.

The TigerScots had a 28-18 lead at the half.

"Dallas cleaned up on rebounds. We were able to get them on the open floor and set up some easy baskets, and get the ball to Tyler Babb on the inside."

Babb, Thul and Reich combined to lead on the big night, with solid contributions from the bench.

"The guys on the bench, pitching in four or six points, really help out," Pickard said. "I'm definitely happy with the way we've been playing."

W-M is 10-2 in league and 16-5 overall. They host Irrigon Thursday, and if they win there, Friday's regular-season finale with Stanfield will also be for the league championship.
