Tim Kaufman-Osborn, provost and dean of faculty at Whitman College, organized and moderated a session focused on global education at the annual meeting of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, held recently in San Francisco.

His session, "Introducing Global Perspectives into the Liberal Arts Curriculum," focused on multiple ways of introducing global perspectives into the academic programs of small liberal arts colleges.

Bruce Magnusson, associate professor of politics and director of Whitman's Global Studies Initiative, delivered a presentation that focused on the key elements of Whitman's program, including its faculty development efforts, the annual global studies symposium, and the development of new team-taught courses.
