Nixyaawii boys top Arlington, 67-53, Saturday night

MISSION, Ore. - Trailing by a point, 31-30, at the intermission, Nixyaawii rallied for a 67-53 boys Big Sky Conference basketball victory over Arlington here Saturday night.

The Golden Eagles claimed a 45-42 lead after three quarters and then raced away from the Honkers over the final eight minutes of play to extend their season record to 9-13 and even their Big Sky mark at 6-6. Nixyaawii plays at Condon-Wheeler on Friday.

Arlington saw its record slide to 5-15 overall and 4-9 in league play. The Honkers host Dufur on Tuesday.

Josh Barkley was the game's leading scorer with 29 points to pace the Nixyaawii attack. Joe Crawford and Larry Spino were also in double figures with 16 and 11 points, respectively.

Ryan Blankenship led Arlington with 15 points and J.J. Gabby contributed 10.
