Men can Jazzercise way to healthy hearts

Valentine's Day may be a time to celebrate love, but the entire month will be dedicated to the heart at Walla Walla's Jazzercise Center.

In an effort to get local men involved in the celebration of American Heart Month, all Jazzercise classes will be free to men throughout the month.

Janet Byerley, owner of the local Jazzercise Center, 231/2 S. Spokane St., said about 10 percent of those taking classes at the Walla Walla center are men. Many of those, she said, are the most loyal students of the workout program that combines jazz dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga and kickboxing movements.

More than 20 classes are offered each week at the Jazzercise Center to help accommodate the varying schedules for local residents. For more information, call Byerley at 525-9772.
