WALLA WALLA -- An organization designed for local mothers to communicate and network has increased its online presence with a Facebook page.
The Moms' Network of Walla Walla now has a page to provide information about the organization and community events. Those who "like" the page also have a forum for exchanging information. The page is an alternative to the website, which is informative but does not have the capacity for interaction like Facebook.
"We hope the use of Facebook will open up our discussions to community members and family-friendly businesses trying to reach local families," said Rossi Ensign, network board member, in a prepared statement. "We invite child-care providers, pre-schools and organizations hosting parenting classes to utilize our wall and discussion board."
The nonprofit has more than 300 local members ranging in age from 20 to 65. The organization provides a platform for moms to communicate, receive and exchange information, network with each other and be involved in the community.
