South Wasco hands Helix boys Big Sky defeat

HELIX - South Wasco came to town and left with a win over the Helix boys basketball team on Tuesday night.

South Wasco won, 61-29, dropping Helix to 1-11 in Big Sky play and 1-21 overall.

"We came out and played hard. We just couldn't quite get some of our easy shots to fall," said Helix coach Brooke Garton.

South Wasco led 12-9 after the first quarter, then pulled away for the 61-29 Big Sky victory.

Helix hosts Ione at 7:30 p.m. Friday in its last home game, then travels to Sherman Country Saturday night.
