Dorothy Erdman
June 24, 1927 - February 8, 2011

Lifelong Walla Walla resident, Dorothy "Dottie" Erdman,
83, died February 8, 2011, at her home. A celebration of her
life will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be
made to Walla Walla Community Hospice or a charity of the
donor's choice through Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt,
1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, Washington 99362.

Dottie was born June 24, 1927, in Wagoner, Oklahoma,
to Arthur J. Eula Byrd Lightfoot Fowler. She attended local
schools and was a graduate of Walla Walla High School.
On September 9, 1950, she married Elden Erdman in
Walla Walla. She worked in the frozen food industry for 35
years beginning at Bird's Eye, then D K, and retiring from
Stokely's. She enjoyed being at home, having holiday and
backyard family gatherings. She also liked baseball and was
a Seattle Mariner and New York Yankee fan. Dottie also loved
spending time with her daughter, Cheryl.

She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Ann Erdman of
Walla Walla; two sisters: Mable Brian and Maxine Amen both
of Walla Walla; and numerous nieces nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elden, of 49
years; four brothers: AJ, Carl, Bill and Jim Fowler; and three
sisters: Ella Mae Fowler, Marie Helen Church and her twin
sister, Doris Smith.
