ST. JOHN - Touchet's boys basketball team finds itself with its back against the wall after a 62-46 defeat at the hands of St. John-Endicott in a road district game Thursday.

The Indians (8-12, 6-9) next head to Colfax for an elimination game versus Garfield-Palouse or Colton on Tuesday.

Gar-Pal and Colton square off Saturday in Colton, with the loser playing Touchet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

"It wasn't how we wanted to play, obviously," said Touchet head coach Tim McKeown of the loss. "We just didn't seem to play with the confidence that we have shown most of the season."

The Indians still got strong nights from Jake Hodnefield and Matt Kates, who both contributed 15 points.

"Jake and Matt were on their games," McKeown said. "We're a very young team, and it may just be an issue of us finding depth. Obviously, the time for that is now."
