Christian Women's Connection lunch Wednesday

DAYTON - Christian Women's Connection luncheon will take place from 11:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Seneca Activity Center in Dayton.

Catered by Ruth Shearer, the cost is $9.

"Light Up Your Life" is the theme. Barbi Johnson, from Nussentials Whole Food Products & Natural Soy Candles, will be be featured. Music will be by Yelizaveta "Liz" Romadin, who recently returned from Zambia.

Grace Christian Center to host author, prayer counselor

WALLA WALLA - Grace Christian Center, 49 Wallula Ave., Suite A, will host author and Christian prayer counselor Ed Kurath for a two-day conference, "Divinely Designed - Being Changed into the Image of Jesus: Inner Healing Simplified" from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 25 and 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 26.

Kurath, a graduate of Denver Seminary with a Master's Degree in counseling, is a licensed professional counselor and marriage and family therapist. He completed an internship, residency and spent was on staff at Elijah House, a Christian prayer counseling ministry and is the author of "I Will Give You Rest," available for $15. Asset-building group seeks information from churches

The Walla Walla Asset Building Coalition seeks information from churches regarding financial education offered to members. The coalition is asking church leadership to contact it about a community meeting addressing the issue of presenting churches with financial classes or seminars.
