The thrill of the rally could be felt as Coach Tim Duncan and the Irish bench showed their enthusiasm with one of DeSales High School's second-half lead captures. The celebration was only passing as Waitsburg-Prescott pulled away in the final minutes and held on for the win Friday night at George Ball Court.

With the Irish girls down 15-16 at the half a flag-waving DeSales fan tried to rally the Irish for the rest of the game. It almost worked with DeSales taking the lead a couple of times but ultimately going down to defeat against the Cardinals in the final minutes of play. See story and more photos in sports section.

Irish fans rallied around the DeSales High School boys' and girls' teams during games against the Waitsburg-Prescott Cardinals on Friday at George Ball Court.
