WALLA WALLA -- If you visited the county's historical website in search of visiting presidents, you may have found one that was resurrected 39 years after dying, or perhaps one that was prematurely made president eight years too early.
It just depends on which Harrison the website we referring to.
Up until Friday, the county's site had stated that President Harrison visited Walla Walla in 1880.
But the ninth president of the United States, William Henry Harrison, died in 1841. And his grandson, Benjamin Harrison, wouldn't become president until 1889.
County staff said they had no idea how the mistake appeared, nor how many years a Harrison was credited as the first president to visit Walla Walla. But in any case, the correction was made almost immediately Friday afternoon.
