Two local residents elected to serve on board of Blue Mountain Land Trust


WALLA WALLA -- Two local residents have been elected to the Blue Mountain Land Trust board.

Tom Reilly, a former U.S. Forest Service district ranger, and Bill Neve, water rights consultant and owner of Water Rights Solutions, were chosen at the February board meeting.

Elected to second terms were Cheryl Scholl, president; Beth Kreger, secretary, and Carol Jean Thompson, treasurer. Andrea Burkhart was elected vice-president.

Blue Mountain Land Trust, a nonprofit corporation, works to protect working farms, forests, watersheds, habitat and scenic views through voluntary partnerships with private landowners and in collaboration with other conservation organizations.
