Car wrecks near old, new highways

Emergency workers examine the scene of a one-car accident that occurred shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and Old Highway 12. The vehicle had apparently been traveling west on the old highway when it failed to negotiate the curve leading to Highway 12, left the roadway and rolled, stopping when it struck a utility pole. The driver was taken to Providence St. Mary Medical Center for treatment of possible injuries. (Jan. 6, 2011)
