WALLA WALLA -- A dog obedience clinic for youths and adults will start with an introductory meeting Saturday at the Washington State University extension office, 328 W. Poplar St.

Dogs with severe flea problems or that show aggression to other dogs will not be permitted in the class. Dogs must be 4 months old or older.

Due to space limits, participants will need to register for either the 9 or 10 a.m. introductory class.

At that meeting, participants will be required to show proof of up-to-date immunizations. Dogs should not be brought to the introductory meeting.

Training sessions will be Jan. 15, 22, 29, Feb. 5, and 12.

These hands-on sessions with the dog will be held at the Haute Dog Pet Resort, 1177 Abadie St. There is a $10, nonrefundable fee per dog. Registration deadline is Jan. 4.

The program is open to all youth third grade or older and adult participants. Children must be accompanied by an adult to each class.
