Gerald L. "Jerry" Hindman, 70, passed away at his home in Milton-Freewater, on Jan, 3, 2010.
Jerry was born in Lincoln, Neb. on July 12, 1940, to Firm and Dolores Rupp Miller. The family later moved to Yakima, where he attended school. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 10 years. Later, he moved to the Milton-Freewater area and worked for Ready Mix, then Konan Concrete. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being in the mountains.
He is survived by his wife, at the home, Linda Hindman and daughter Cindy Hindman, both of Milton Freewater; a son, David; and three daughters, Julie, Laurie and Terrie, all of Spokane; three sisters, Dee Cline of Goldendale, Wash., Joanne Johnson of Texas, Carolee Alderman of Yakima; numerous nieces nephews; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Hindman; a sister, Gloria Cline; brother, Junior Miller; nephews, Michael Steven Cline; brother-in-law, Darrell Alderman; his parents and grandparents.
At his request, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Regional Cancer Center through Professional Funeral Director Crematory, 2112 S. 2nd, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
