DAYTON - The Dayton girls basketball team picked up its second win of the season, dropping Walla Walla Valley Academy 41-37 at home Thursday.

The Bulldogs (2-7) were paced by 13 points from Jessica Tate.

"You gotta give WWVA credit," said Dayton head coach Scott Hudson. "They beat us on the boards, and it wasn't until the fourth quarter that we were able to grab control of the game."

Dayton entered the fourth quarter behind, but the Bulldogs rallied for 17 points in the final frame to score the deciding tally.

"We managed to find a way to put it together," Hudson said. "Our girls made up their minds to bring it home."

Up next for Dayton is a Saturday contest with Liberty Christian.
