WAITSBURG - Waitsburg-Prescott continued its stellar start to the boys basketball season, defeating Mac-Hi 57-30 Saturday,
The win improved W-P's record to 8-1 on the year.
"I thought we actually came out sluggish," said W-P head coach T.J. Scott. "We played well in the first quarter, but then we kind of fell asleep. We pulled it together in the second half though, and played one of our best halves of the year."
W-P was led by 16 points from Zach Bartlow and a dozen boards by Kris Cady.
"We played tough defense in the second half," Scott said. "We told the guys at halftime that was how they needed to play, and they responded."
Up next for W-P is a Friday contest against DeSales, while Mac-Hi is slated to to head to Ontario on Saturday.
