IRRIGON - Tiffani Cain scored 21 points and had 10 boards to lead Weston-McEwen's girls basketball team to a Blue Mountain Conference victory over Irrigon, 49-26, Friday night.

Shaelin Youncs added 11 points and Makayla Christopher grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds.

In addition to a win by 23 points, W-M outrebounded Irrigon 55-29.

The TigerScots got out to a quick start with a 10-2 first-quarter lead.

"The girls came out motivated to make a statement in that first quarter and they did," said W-M coach Amber Doremus.

The TigerScots are 2-1 in league and 4-8 overall.

They played again Saturday at home against Stanfield.
