Helix - Helix's girls basketball team rolled out to 30 point lead midway into the fourth quarter en route to grabbing its first league win of the season, defeating Central Christian 57-40 at home Saturday.

The Grizzlies (5-8, 1-3) were led by various strong efforts, including 20 points from Chyanne Hack.

"Our whole group really played well on both ends of the floor tonight," said Helix head coach Dean Fouquette. "We got some great performances on the inside and perimeter."

Helix was able to rest its starters for the majority of the final quarter due to its hefty lead.

The Grizzlies travel to Echo on Friday.
