Jack Paul, age 85, went peacefully to his heavenly home on Jan. 6, 2011, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Jack was born June 23, 1925, at Spangle, Wash., to Roy and Dora Elizabeth Paul. At an early age, Jack joined the Marine Corps and served in the South Pacific and Korea. He worked at Darigold Creamery for many years then at Jones Scott. He was an avid fisherman and won trophies at bowling.
He loved family and friends to visit. He was past commander and quarter master of the VFW. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, the Elks Lodge, Eagle's and American Legion.
He is surved by her wife, Jennie at the home; son, Stephen Paul; daughters, Elizabeth Johnson and Sue Walker; sons-in-law, Verne Raymond and David Vasknety; stepson, Gary Haasch and stepdaughter, Myrna Van Datta; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Karen Raymond and Lorrie Jo Vasknety; and two sisters, Eldora Rause and Marjorie Black.
The graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life will follow graveside services on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Koonz officiating.
