FINLEY - Burbank's girls fell to River View in a South Central Conference East Division game Tuesday.

The Panthers went 5-for-7 from 3-point range in the first half and closed the first quarter up 18-8 en route to the 48-43 win.

Burbank falls to 4-9 overall and 2-3 in league with the loss.

"They jumped on us early ... and we just couldn't recover all the way," said Burbank head coach John Muchlinski.

Burbank trailed by 11 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, when the Panthers hit a bucket and a free throw to move ahead by 14 points.

"We were able to create some turnovers and hit some shots to get back into the game, but it just wasn't quite enough," Muchlinski said. "I'm pleased with how we finished out the game. We never gave up and worked hard all the way through."

Katie Breazeales led the Coyotes with 16 points and Burbank's only 3 on the night.

The Coyotes next play Jan. 20 at Mabton.
