Moses Lake grapplers pin Blue Devils

MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake won a Big Nine dual meet with Wa-Hi here Thursday night, 60-19.

The Blue Devils got pins from Wil Babbitt at 112 pounds and Logan Reardon at 215 pounds, and a major decision by Nason Babbitt at 140 and decision by Anthony Stalder at 145, for its points in the meet.

"Moses Lake is one of the top teams in the state," Wa-Hi coach Clayton Hudiburg said. "We were underdogs going in, but I thought we could have pulled out a couple more wins than we did. This is the type of team that, when given an inch, they'll take a mile and pin you whether the match is relatively close or even if they are behind.

"It was a good experience for a few of our guys to get put to their backs when they know they could have come out on top had they stuck with fundamentals," he said.

Wa-Hi next travels to a Lewiston matchup with Clearwater at 3 p.m. next Friday.
