Whitman women fall to George Fox 64-57

NEWBERG, Ore. - Whitman College outshot their hosts from the 3-point and free throw lines, but 6-foot-5 Hannah Munger ruled the paint to lead George Fox to a 64-57 Northwest Conference victory Saturday.

Munger, who made 10 of 12 shots from the floor for the defending NWC champs, finished with 21 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots.

Whitman, which has played four of its first six conference games on the road, slipped to 3-3 in the NWC and 8-6 on the season

Jenn Keyes, a junior sharpshooter, hit four of six 3-point shots and led Whitman with 16 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Whitman plays Whitworth in Spokane Tuesday.
