ONTARIO, Ore. - Walla Walla Community College had a rocky first half but recovered for a 57-40 win over Treasure Valley in NWAACC women's basketball action Saturday night.

"This is a tough place to play and we always struggle here, mostly because we have so many kids from this area," said WWCC head coach Bobbi Hazeltine.

Sienna Edmunson opened with the first start of her college career in front of a friendly crowd.

Her hometown of New Plymouth, Idaho, is just 10 miles away from Ontario.

"She was basically playing in front of her hometown," Hazeltine said of Edmunson. "She was just phenomenal. I couldn't be happier. ... She ran the floor and had a great game, easily the best of the year for her."

Edmunson led the Warriors with 14 points.

The Warriors are 11-3. They host Yakima on Wednesday.
