Mary Jane Grey

Beloved wife and best friend of Gael, mother of Cathie, Cindi and Marke, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, Mary Jane Grey passed from this life on Jan. 12, 2011, in Bremerton.
Mary was born Aug. 5, 1930, in Mott, N.D., to Stanley and Gertrude (Davis) Riley. She moved to Walla Walla when she was 11 years old. She graduated from Walla Walla High School and worked for the Hughes Dress Co. there, and later in Yakima. It was in Yakima that she met and married the love of her life, Gael Grey. They later moved to Gresham, Ore., where they lived until coming to Bremerton in the mid-1980s.
Mary was a devoted and loving wife and mother. A gifted seamstress,she used her 1954 Singer sewing machine to make nearly all of her kids' clothes while they were growing up. She loved walks with her "favorite husband" and Sunday drives with her family.
Treasuring Mary's memory are her husband of 57 years, Gael; daughters, Cathie Robinson (Mike) and Cindi Grey (Jim), both of Oceanside, Calif.; son, Marke Grey (Lynn) of Brighton, Colo.; sister-in-law, Judy Riley of Tacoma; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends.
