$n$ Dayton boys hoops rolls 10 46-32 victory

DAYTON - It's been said that defense wins games, and that is what the Dayton boys basketball team practiced and focused on all week, according to Bulldogs coach Roy Ramirez.

And it may have paid off as Ramirez's Bulldogs outworked Tri-Cities Prep for a 46-32 victory here Friday night in a Southeast 2B District game.

"We've been working hard on defense all week and on challenging every shot," Ramirez said. "I think we did a good job of that tonight."

Garrett Turner paced the Bulldogs with 16 points, Hayden Fullerton popped nine points akd Kroft Sunderland added eight.

Josh Peterson led Prep with 16 points.

Dayton evened its league record at 3-3 and improved to 7-6 overall going into a Saturday night home game against first-place Waitsburg-Prescott.

Dayton jumped out to a 21-15 lead at half, then buried the Jaguars with a 13-3 run in the third quarter.
