$n$ Helix girls struggle in loss to Arlington

ARLINGTON - Helix struggled to get even all night here in Big Sky girls basketball action Saturday.

The Grizzlies caught Arlington with four minutes left, but the Honkers countered with a 7-0 run and went on to pull out a 38-30 win.

Arlington took a 6-2 lead after one, and the Grizzlies were forced to play catch up.

"They got off to a fast start," Helix coach Dean Fouquette said. "We played from behind most of the game.

"We put the press on and got it tied," he continued. They (the Honkers) had six players score in the fourth and they came through. They deserved to win."

Claire Ely and Chyanne Hack led the Grizzlies with 11 points each.

Helix hosts Waitsburg-Prescott in a non-league game Wednesday.
