BURBANK - First-place Kiona-Benton rode Yensenia Torres' 20-point game to a 52-38 victory over Burbank here Friday night in a girls South Central Conference Eastern Division basketball game.
It was the Coyotes' second loss in as many nights as they fell 49-34 at Mabton on Thursday. Burbank returns to action on Tuesday when they entertain Connell.
Taylor Brown added six points and 15 rebounds for Ki-Be. Katie Breazeale scored 11 points to lead Burbank.
"We played a lot better tonight," said Burbank head coach John Muchlinski. "We just couldn't get the shots to fall. I am very prud of the effort."
The Bears improved to 7-1 in SCC East play with Friday's win and are 12-4 overall. The Coyotes are now 3-5 in league and 5-11 for the season.
