PENDLETON - Visiting Condon-Wheeler nipped Nixwyaawii 44-42 here Friday night at the Pendleton Convention Center in a boys Big Sky Conference Eastern Division basketball game.
Nick Shaffer tallied 20 points and Nick Irzyk added 10 for Condon-Wheeler, which upped its season record to 9-7 and its Big Sky East mark to 3-4 going into a Saturday night home game in Fossil against Cascade Christian.
The Golden Eagles were led by Josh Barkley's 20 points and 13 from Joe Crawford. Nixyaawii dipped to 7-12 and 4-5 and won't return to action until next Friday when the Golden Eagles travel to Ione for an division counter.
