WASHTUCNA - Pomeroy shut down Lacrosse-Washtucna in the second half here Saturday in boys Southeast 1B League basketball action.

The Pirates held the TigerCats to seven second-half points and pulled away from a 23-20 halftime advantage to post a 57-27 win.

"We pressed the whole game," Pirate coach Brian Koller said. "It took a toll on them, plus they have had some injuries and sickness. They got tired."

Sean Beale and Tanner Feider both scored in double digits to lead the way for Pomeroy. Beale had 13 points and four assists. Feider hit two treys in scoring 12 points.

Justin Ruark didn't have a good shooting game as the 6-foot, 3-inch senior scored only six points, but he was huge on the glass in grabbing a game-high 15 rebounds.
