ASOTIN - Pomeroy jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 49-44 road win against Asotin Tuesday in Southeast 2B girls basketball.

Pomeroy lead 14-3 after one quarter and nursed their cushion for a five point win.

"Naturally, it's a goal of ours to jump out early," said Pomeroy head coach Nettie Severs. "We managed to hold on."

Pomeroy (13-3, 7-3) was led by 15 points from HayLee Koller.

"HayLee was very solid for us," Severs said. "We're pleased to get the win. We struggled with their zone. We powered through though."

Up next for Pomeroy is a Friday game at Garfield-Palouse.
