TOUCHET - Touchet sent Lacrosse-Washtucna home with a Southeast 1B League boys basketball loss Friday night.

The Indians won, 52-45, despite getting off to a slow start and trailing 24-15 at the half.

"It was a lethargic first half and it was hard to get gelled," said Touchet coach Tim McKeown.

Matt Kates, who led the Indians with 21 points on the night, opened the second half with a 3-pointer and the Indians went on a 19-11 third-stanza bender.

"Matt Kates had two 3s in the third quarter and that was huge for us," McKeown said. "His 3s got us going."

The rally continued and Touchet outscored the TigerCats 18-10 in the fourth quarter, and went 7-of-10 at the line, for the win.

The victory moves the Indians to 3-8 in conference and 5-11 overall. They traveled to Garfield-Palouse Saturday.
