HELIX - Helix's girls basketball team picked up its second Big Sky Conference win of the season with a 43-28 performance to top Horizon Christian Saturday.

The Grizzlies (6-13 overall, 2-11 league) were led by 15 points from Claire Ely and 13 from Chyanne Hack.

"Claire and Chyanne provided us with great leadership in the second half," said Helix head coach Dean Fouquette. "That's really where we won the game."

Helix led by two at the intermission, but a 13-6 third quarter and staunch defense all but decided the contest.

"We were a little sluggish in the first half," Fouquette said. "Still, we played four quarters of good defense."

The Grizzlies head to Nixyaawii on Friday.
