BURBANK - After falling behind 25-19 at halftime, Burbank limited River View to nine second-half points here Saturday night and the Coyotes rallied for a 40-37 South Central Conference Eastern Division boys basketball victory.

The victory boosted Burbank's season record to 11-8 and its SCC East mark to 7-4. With just one regular-season game remaining - at Royal Saturday night - the Coyotes are assured of second place in the final East standings since they are one game ahead of Connell and Kiona-Benton and hold the tie-breaker advantage over both.

Twenty-one of River View's 25 first-half points came on the strength of seven 3-point baskets, but Burbank tightened up its defense in the second half to pull out the victory.

Nathan Roberts scored six points and Angel Garcia added four as Burbank outscored River View 10-3 in what proved to be a decisive fourth quarter. Roberts finished the night with 15 points to lead the Coyotes, Garcia added eight points and Dyllon Smith contributed seven.
