Busy week for hole-in-ones at M-F course

MILTON-FREEWATER - Three hole-in-ones were recorded last week at the Milton-Freewater Municipal Golf Course.

The first came June 29, when Ben Currin hit an ace on the 186-yard par 3 sixth hole. Currin used a 3-iron and it was his second hole in one in 17 years. It was witnessed by Ron Swiger, Tony Garcia and Abe Currin.

Mike Odman hit the next on Saturday, on the 168-yard par 3 hole one. It's his first ace in 28 years of golfing. It was witnessed by his son, Michael Odman Jr.

And on Sunday, Monte Smith knocked it in on the 122-yard, par 3 Hole No. 12. It is his fifth in three years of playing golf. It was witnessed by Bill Smith and Mark Counsell.
