Pioneer United Methodist welcomes new pastor today


The congregation of Pioneer United Methodist Church, 209 E. Birch St., will welcome its new pastor, the Rev. Tom Telfer, at its 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship services.

According to information provided by the church, Telfer comes from Fairbanks, Alaska, where he served at First United Methodist Church.

He will take the place of the Rev. Chuck Hindman, who retired.

Telfer will be joined by his wife, Jan, and their youngest son Zach, who will be a junior in high-school.

Nondenominational church offers bilingual services

WALLA WALLA - A new nondenominational church will hold its first services today at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Pioneer United Methodist to host antique, collectible sale

WALLA WALLA - Pioneer United Methodist Church, 209 E. Birch St., will host an Antique and Collectible Sale, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday and Saturday.

A number of Pioneer's members will bring in their treasures, glassware to furniture, for this "multi-mini estate sale."

The sales will be held in the education wing.
