Walla Wallans Harold and Bonnie Raugust celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in Denver with their daughter and son-in-law and two grandsons.
The couple met at a house party in Milton-Freewater. and married June 20, 1951, at the home of Bonnie's parent. Her maiden name is Wolff.
Harold retired after 30 years with the Washington State Penitentiary. He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. He volunteered with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. He is a past member of Walla Walla Historical Auto Club. He enjoyed bird hunting and fishing in the past.
Bonnie worked for Duff's Creamery and Birds Eye Frozen Foods. She is a member of VFW Auxiliary and a pastpresident of Rainbow Girls Mothers Club. She also volunteered with R.S.V.P. and participated in HAD Club. Her hobby is gardening.
The Raugusts have traveled in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe. They enjoy dancing and have attended Blue Mountain Community Church.
They have two daughters, Connie Haanes of Denver and Diana Hall of San Diego; three grandchildren, a step-grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
