Thefts, Burglaries

WW County Sheriff

200 block West Sixth Street, Waitsburg. Saturday. Residence entered, two firearms taken.

Umatilla County Sheriff

Eastside Road, Milton-Freewater. Garage broken into, tools taken.


WW Police

Malcolm Street and Sprague Avenue. 3:19 p.m. Tuesday. Collision at intersection. No injuries reported.

East Alder Street and South Wilbur Avenue, 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Bicyclist struck by vehicle. The driver left the scene after asking if the youth was all right. The youth was taken by family to the hospital for assessment.

MF Police

North Main Street and Northeast Fifth Avenue, 4:44 p.m. Tuesday. Driver pulled out from stop sign and was struck by another vehicle. No injuries reported.

Umatilla County Sheriff

Telephone Pole Road by the Cemetery, Milton-Freewater. 12:46 p.m. Tuesday. Unknown vehicle struck another driver's vehicle's side front, causing damage.


Rozas Alaniz, 20, 612 W. Poplar St., reportedly spit and kicked at an officer as he resisted arrest. Authorities say Alaniz was pulled over in the 300 block of West Chestnut around 12:30 a.m. today. He immediately fled the scene, running northbound, an officer said. While being taken into custody near Providence St. Mary Medical Center he ran again. An officer reportedly chased him to his home, where he was uncooperative. Authorities say he spit at the officer and kicked him, grazing his head. He was taken to the County Jail for investigation of driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license and a felony charge of third-degree assault.

WW Ambulance

Malcolm Street and Sprague Avenue. 3:18 p.m. Tuesday. Motor vehicle collision, no transports.

Highway 125 and Myra Road, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Motor vehicle collision. One man had minor injuries, was not transported.

Whitman Mission area, 000 block Whitman Mission Road, 6:47 p.m. Grass fire.


WW Police

900 block North Ninth Avenue. Window broken on vehicle.

CP Police

400 block Southwest Sixth Street. Window broken on vehicle.
