Interfaith Coalition on Poverty to meet Tuesday at Sonbridge

COLLEGE PLACE - The Interfaith Coalition on Poverty will hold its monthly meeting this from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sonbridge Community Center, 1200 S.E. 12 St., near Myra Road.

Unity Church of Peace plans picnic, special teaching

WALLA WALLA - Unity Church of Peace 810 C. St., will sponsor a picnic from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at Pioneer Park on the south side of the park, near Whitman Street.

Bring hamburgers or hot dogs to grill or another main dish, or a side dish, salad, dessert or beverages to share.

On Sunday, July 31, Marty and Laurie Manahan will speak at church at 10 a.m. on a topic entitled: "Introduction to Hildegard of Bingen, a 12th Century Visionary."

They will play Hildegard's music, discuss her remarkable life and explain how her artistic and spiritual contributions are relevant today.
