The bride-elect is the daughter of James and Jani Long of Walla Walla. She is a 2008 graduate of Walla Walla High School. She attends Walla Walla Community College and works for Safeway in Walla Walla.
The groom-elect is the son of David C. and Karen Tshappat of Milton-Freewater. He is a 2006 graduate of McLoughlin High School in Milton-Freewater. He works for Walker's Furniture, in Walla Walla.
An Aug. 27, 2011, wedding is planned in Walla Walla.
