Mares 'n' Music teams up symphonic music, expert horsemanship

The Walla Walla Symphony and local horse groups are pairing up for a unique afternoon of western riding and horsemanship with live symphonic music at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Walla Walla Fairgrounds Expo Arena.

Edward Dixon will conduct the Walla Walla Symphony with riders Ruben Villasenor, the Walla Walla Wagonettes, Jennifer Gregory, the Blue Mountain Riders, Pat Prince, vaulters from the Happy Horse Riding School and more. Colors will be presented by the Walla Walla Fair Royal Court.

New this year will be a vocal number performed by Shane Laib and Jennifer Northam. General admission tickets for adults are $15; tickets for youths under 18 are $5; and a family ticket for two adults and two youths is $35.
