WSU's Jacobs lands on Pac-10 academic team

PULLMAN - Washington State outfielder - and incoming Walla Walla Sweet - Brett Jacobs was named to the Pac-10 Baseball Academic First Team last week.

Jacobs, a sophomore outfielder from Richland, carried a 3.42 grade-point average and is majoring in accounting.

He started 44 games for the Cougars and hit .244 with six doubles, two home runs and 19 RBIs.

Jacobs will begin playing in Walla Walla this week, according to team manager J.C. Biagi.
