Members of the Waitsburg School Board are Ross Hamann, Marilyn Johnson, Terry Jacoy, Randy Pearson and Greg Zuger. With all present Wednesday the board:
- EXAM RESULTS: Learned 94 percent of sophomores passed the high school proficiency exam in reading. Ninety-seven percent passed the writing exam, and 81 percent passed the science exam.
- REPORTS: Heard reports from administrators, athletic director and transportation, maintenance and facilities supervisor.
- PERSONNEL: Following an executive session approved hiring Ronnie Hulce and Genesis Pearson as part-time summer maintenance help, and Angie Potts as head high school volleyball coach and Wendy Richards as assistant high school volleyball coach. Unanimous for all.
- ONLINE LEARNING: Tabled consideration of joining an online learning consortium through ESD 123 pending receipt of more information. Unanimous.
- COMBINE: Approved participation in the athletic combine for 2011-2012 with Prescott. Unanimous.
