Former Milton-Freewater resident Marjorie G. Kinnear-Dudley, 92, died June 16, 2011, at her home in Wilsonville, Ore. Funeral services will be held June 22, 2011,
at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main St., Milton-Freewater.
Concluding services and interment to follow in the Milton-Freewater Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Legacy Hospice of McMinnville or to Wilsonville Methodist Church through the funeral
Marjorie was born in Walla Walla on Oct. 20, 1918. She was the daughter of Ralph and Myrtle Duncan Kinnear. She grew up in Milton-Freewater, attended local grade schools and later graduated from McLoughlin Union High School. She then attended and later graduated from Oregon State University in 1939.
She married William H. Dudley in Las Vegas on Jan. 10, 1942. Mr. and Mrs. Dudley lived in California for many years. He preceded her in death in 1973. In 1990 she moved to Wilsonville to be near family. She
was a member of the Wilsonville United Methodist Church, Tri Delta Sorority, P.E.O. Chapter C.T. of California and Board of Regents, Corvallis, Ore.
Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Burns of Taos, N.M.; three grandchildren, Molly Wehner, Colleen Gore and Joe Burns; and six great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Katherine E. Gore; and a son-in-law, Joseph Burns.
