WALLA WALLA - The Walla Walla 12U Xplosion softball team won the Silver Bracket at the Sweet Onion Tournament last weekend in Walla Walla.

Saturday, the Xplosion defeated the Mountain West La Grande team, 13-3. Then they took a 10-5 loss against the Lady Desert Dawgs.

Xplosion came back against the Coeur d' Alene Crush '98, leading the game all the way until seventh inning errors helped the Crush take over the game for a 5-2 win.

Sunday, the Xplosion had to play hard and win two games to qualify to the championship round.

With great pitching, perfect defense and strong bats, the Xplosion got a 15-0 mercy-rule win over Bratz and Bratz, and defeated the Walla Walla Nitro 9-0.
