WALLA WALLA - The Walla Walla Bruins suffered an AA Junior American Legion baseball sweep to the West Valley Bees Tuesday, 12-6 and 9-5, at Walla Walla Community College Tuesday.

The Bees jumped on the Bruins with a five-run first inning in the opener and never looked back.

In the nightcap, West Valley again had a quick start with seven runs in the first two stanzas.

"We're in a bit of a funk right now," Bruins coach Jason Parsons said. "We just have to work through it.

"We just left way too many guys on base and didn't make key defensive plays when needed."

Parsons did highlight the pitching of Luke Reardon, who went the first five innings of the nightcap.

"Luke pitched real well," he said.
