Walla Walla School Board to evaluate superintendent Thursday

WALLA WALLA -- The School Board will hold a special board meeting and executive session Thursday at the home of board member Anne Golden, followed by a special meeting later in the day.

The purpose of the board meeting is to conduct the board's annual evaluation of Superintendent Mick Miller.

The board will meet at 10:30 a.m. and immediately recess into the closed executive session. The board expects to complete the review by 2 p.m.

Executive sessions are not open to the public, but any action stemming from such sessions are conducted in a public meeting.

At 5:30 p.m., the board will hold a special meeting in the district board room, 364 S. Park St., to discuss the district's strategic plan. Discussion points will cover why a strategic plan is necessary, a review of the strategic plan process, study survey and interview data, and a discussion of the first draft of a five-year plan. The session is open to the public.
